How many times have you heard this phrase?
I find it constant, friends, family and even clients, and no matter how many times you try and explain that you are not going to be a vet, they don't believe you... why would anyone who could be, not be a vet? These are my reasons;
1) I like nursing, it's hands on and you spend more time with the animals
2) Vets spend way too much time with clients
3) I don't like body parts... as proven by many dissections and defrosted pig trotters!
4) Cuddles... lots of cuddles!!!
5) We aren't perceived "mean"
Nurses do way more then clients seem to think, so next time someone asks you when you are going to be a vet, just list to them, why nursing is much better for you.

Welcome!
Hi all!
This is my first post on this blog, inspired by the many veterinarian blogs out there! A lot are american so don't show the veterinary nursing side to vet life that we have over here in the UK! That's where I intend to come in! I am in my final year at university so you guys all get to watch me go through my final stages of learning and eventually becoming a qualified vet nurse with me.I hope that in the future, this blog can not only be informative to prospective vet nurses about the real things that happen in your degree, but also prove to be funny and full of quirky anecdotes that remind everyone why we went into this business!
Lets start with this article. Recently eHarmony posted a list of reason why to date a veterinarian, this is a vets rebuttal! Very amusing and also very applicable to vet nurses!

I hope you all enjoy reading that, and hopefully I can post quite often on here, fingers crossed!!!
